We are very fortunate to have lots and lots of birds around our home. It probably is because of all the bird feeders we have out (we got 8 of those babies out there and we try to keep them from getting empty). Although this is not a "perfect" photo because of the leaf in front of the bird, I like it anyway. I think that leaf in the foreground actually adds something - it helps tell the story of the blue jay pitching in a tree surrounded by old dead leaves. And when you think about it, telling the story is the most important thing. If you can tell a story with your photographs, that will interest people. People love stories.
