I never realized that sunflowers can be so beautiful when they peak as well as when they get old and lose all their color (Thanks to my wife Laurie for pointing that out). Because these sunflowers had lost their lovely yellow colors, I thought a black and white image suited them better. Next year, make sure you get out to Pope Farm Park to photograph the sunflowers!
