My first attempt at Star Trails. This exposure was for 4 minutes. The scene was extremely dark. The long exposure brightened the night sky (there was almost a full moon) and produced the start trails you see here. Star trails are caused by taking an exposure long enough to allow the earths rotation to show the movement of the stars. Soon I plan on taking longer exposures of the night sky to get some nice arching of the star trails. I will be sure to share them with you.
