Late Sunset Madison Skyline.

In this photo it was very dark out and looking at your eyes you just do not see the colors that the camera can see with a long exposure.  I took a long exposure to smooth out the ripples on the water.  The only thing left to see in the water are the flock of ducks paddling around.  When taking sunset photos, remember to two things.   1) take photos later than you think you should be (if you do this you will need a tripod to get a sharp image); and 2) underexpose your image to bring out the colors more (even many point and shoot cameras can do this, check your user's manual.
